Hi, I'm Yang.

After 8+ years in UX, I've learned the best design doesn't come from a perfect mockup. It comes from sharing your thinking early, asking for honest feedback, and getting to a shared vision with the people around you.
I like owning the whole experience end to end. I dig into research to speak up for users, and I tell the story that gets a team aligned. And I learn a lot from the people I work with, design gets better when we back each other up.
AI can handle a lot of the manual work now. That makes craft and judgment matter more, not less. The job isn't just to make things, it's to make the right calls.
How I work
Understand deeply, share early, decide with evidence.
- 01
Understand the real work
Before I touch a pixel, I do my own research and talk to the people doing the work, so I understand what they're really trying to do.
- 02
Share thinking early
I get rough ideas in front of people fast and ask for honest feedback. A shared direction beats a polished surprise.
- 03
Decide with evidence
I decide from research and tradeoffs, not taste. And I'm honest about what I don't know yet.
- 04
Ship, measure, iterate
I ship, watch what happens, and improve. Sometimes the right call is not to ship, and I'll say so.
With AI
AI is part of how I work. It helps me move quickly on things like research, drafts, and prototypes, so I can spend more time with users, my team, and the thinking that shapes the work.
Off the clock
When I'm not designing, I'm cycling, skiing, traveling, or volunteering. I've seen a good chunk of the world, and it keeps me curious.
